German robotics startup Neura Robotics has pulled in about $1.4 billion in Series C funding, giving investors another sign that humanoid robotics could be moving deeper into the AI spotlight. The round was backed by Tether Holdings SA, Qualcomm (NASDAQ:QCOM), Nvidia (NASDAQ:NVDA), Amazon (NASDAQ:AMZN), Robert Bosch GmbH, Schaeffler AG and other investors, with the capital aimed at developing and shipping Neura's AI-powered humanoid robot. The financing values Neura at about $7 billion, according to a person familiar with the deal, although the Metzingen-based company did not disclose a valuation. Neura said the money will support the rollout of humanoid robots, its software platform and its manufacturing infrastructure, as investors continue looking for AI companies that could bring the technology into real-world use cases such as manufacturing and logistics. Neura is developing 4NE1, a humanoid robot built for manufacturing and everyday settings, while also selling a factory transport robot and a robotic-arm machine marketed as a home device. The company said its existing orders and strategic deployment pipeline exceed $1 billion, adding another data point to a market where Tether is expanding beyond stablecoins into AI, data and robotics investments.
